What started out to be a boring day of running errands turned into a fantastic day ending with a huge revelation!!!
Hannah and I had to run up to Egleston (the hospital where I used to work) today to grab a few things. While we were there we went by to see my friend Duane, the ultrasound guru at Children's. He was able to squeeze me into his very busy schedule and did an ultrasound to see if he could detect the sex of the new baby.
With the help of my good friends, Kimberly and Kristi, Hannah and I left the hospital with a very important secret sealed up in an envelope. The hard part about the day was that Hannah and I were not going to return home until late in the evening and I definitely wanted to wait to be with Jason before we opened the envelope.
That may have been the longest 8 hours of my life!!! But, I was able to resist. Tonight Jason and I found out that we are having a little BOY!!!! We are so thrilled...and shocked. I think we were both pretty convinced we were having another girl.
I don't know what Hannah is going to think about having a little boy running around, stealing her dolls and messing up her tea sets... I do know that she is going to be a great big sister. I am so excited for her and can't wait for her to recognize him as an actual person instead of the imaginary being she points to in my tummy! =)

Hannah's First Snow Day!
This is a few weeks late but I wanted to share Hannah's first time in the snow. I have more videos than still pictures which I will try and post soon!
When the snowflakes first started falling, Hannah was napping so I was scared she would miss it. Most of you know how often we get snow down here... By the time she woke up it was actually snowing harder so we got to go out and play in it. Little did we know, we would get more snow just a few days later!
Getting Bundled! She was not exactly a fan of this part...
First look at the snow. She pointed at every flake she saw. She loved the fact that Annie was getting white spots! You can see our dusting that we call "snow"! She really loved it! Notice the gloves did not last. What can I say? The child is just not used to being bundled!

Here we go...
I honestly never thought I would do this but I am officially creating a blog to keep you updated with our family! I love sending pictures through Shutterfly but sometimes I wish I could commentate more about the pictures and this way I will not have to wait and send out big bulks of pictures at a time! So here we are! Actually Jason is the one who said he wanted us to have one so you may see some posts from him in the future!
I don't know if our lives are blog-worthy or not. Hopefully some things may be interesting or funny enough to read about....hopefully! =)
To start with I'll make sure you heard the latest news from our family. Hannah is going to be a big sister! Our second baby is due July 10th and we feel so blessed! Hannah has been such a joy in our lives and we can't wait to experience this over again. We are not sure of the sex yet but we will find out mid to late February. Hannah has absolutely NO clue her world is about to be turned upside down... When asked where Mama's baby is, she will point to my tummy but she is too young to completely understand. She will before too much longer! Jason is already planning his Daddy-daughter mornings for when the new baby arrives. We have been so fortunate thus far with Hannah's flexibility in so many situations. We hope this carries over into the birth of her baby brother or sister. I know for sure it will take some adjusting but hopefully it won't be too traumatic!
That's it for now! I'll leave you with a picture. This is Hannah preparing for her duties as the Big Sister!
